When I was a child my family and I were camping and I distinctly remember thinking lizards were cute and wanting to catch them during our trip. Of course being a child I was rather clumsy waving my stubby hands at them as they scurried into the cracks of rocks for fear of a towering child. The piece is inspired by the childhood desire to have lizards and the speed at which lizards can escape danger.
